With a résumé that includes three 5-star history- and mystery-based Escape Rooms—including the award-winning Frightful Faeries of Arden Cottage in Scotland—and more than a decade as a professional paranormal researcher, author, presenter, and experiencer with long-time ties to Point Pleasant, Joey Madia brings just the right combination of skills to the World’s Only Mothman Museum’s debut Escape Room.

A multi-time presenter at the annual Mothman Festival, Joey has written extensively—including two stage plays—about Point Pleasant and the Mothman phenomena.

His three decades as an award-winning writer, director, actor, Escape Room designer, and storyteller with a specialty in historical education and entertainment have allowed him to create immersive, memorable, and high-quality adventures that have been presented to audiences all over the world.
He is currently co-designing a series of immersive experiences to celebrate the Centennial of Route 66. Joey has consulted for several multimedia production companies and Mercedes-Benz.
